verdenergy, a yorkshire based supplier of wood pellets for boilers, has expanded its delivery fleet and built a new depot as part of its ongoing expansion.

with those funds, verdenergy has purchased two new specialised delivery trucks and created a new supply depot at forcett. this adds to the company’s existing network of bases at tockwith and howden.

verdenergy was founded in 2015, with a stated aim to become the north of england’s ‘pre-eminent supplier of wood pellets for biomass boilers.’ the company claims to have trebled its turnover since then, supplying over 500 customers with 15,000 tonnes of pellets. these pellets go to both domestic and industrial customers.
the northern powerhouse investment fund project is supported by the european union using funding from the european regional development fund (erdf) as part of the european structural and investment funds growth programme 2014-2020 and the european investment bank.
